How to Use Firehose Finder
Step 1: Poll the Device
- Reboot into Emergency Mode: Click the button labeled “Poll the device with a reboot into emergency mode”. This will gather device identifiers such as model, manufacturer, and other key information.
- Manual Input (if needed): If the tool does not retrieve all identifiers, manually enter details like “Manufacturer”, “Model”, and “Alternative name”.
- Use Device Collection: If you can’t locate the device identifiers, go to the “Device Collection” tab. Browse the available devices and select your model by double-clicking on it.
Step 2: Search for a Programmer
- Select Folder: After entering your device’s details, press the “Search” button and select a folder with pre-loaded programmers.
- Analyze Compatibility: The tool will compare the available programmers with your device’s identifiers and rate their compatibility from high to low.
- Review Ratings: A score of 10 indicates the highest compatibility, so look for the highest-rated programmer.
Step 3: Verify Compliance
- Load the Programmer: Upload the programmer with the highest compatibility rating to your device.
- Execute Commands: Use commands like rebooting the device from emergency mode to normal or reading memory data to verify the programmer’s compliance with your device.
