The Palera1n Jailbreak, which supports iOS 15 to iOS 16, was not initially available for Windows PCs. This led to the development of a new project called Palen1x, which aims to provide Windows users with access to Palera1n from their computers. Palen1x is based on the latest Palera1n-c rewrite.
What is palen1x
Palen1x is a small Linux distribution used for jailbreaking iOS devices using Palera1n-c jailbreak, designed to offer a better jailbreaking experience with enhanced stability. It can be used to install rootful and rootless Palera1n-c on iPhone or iPad, supporting iOS 15 to 16 on A8-A11 devices. Palen1x is light and can be installed on a USB stick and used on any version of Windows. It features the Sileo Nightly package manager, and the latest jailbreaking technology, such as Substitute. Palen1x is an open-source project available on the Palera1n Team’s GitHub repository. The jailbreak supports A9-A11 systems and a range of iPhone and iPad models running iOS 15.0-16.2. Palen1x is run from a USB drive by flashing the OS image using Etcher and booting from the USB drive.

Palen1x supports Apple A9-A11 chipsets. Below, you can find the actual list of compatible iPhones and iPads. The jailbreak was tested to run and work without issues on iPhone X (GSM),iPhone 8, iPhone 7, and iPhone 6s running iOS 15.

How to use Palen1x
To successfully run Palen1x on a Windows PC, follow these steps:
- Download and install Etcher on your computer.
- Acquire the Palen1x ISO file, which can be found at the top of the page.
- Utilize Etcher to transfer the ISO onto your USB drive.
- Restart your computer and access the BIOS boot menu.
- Choose the prepared USB drive as the boot device.
- Once Palen1x OS loads, run Palera1n from the menu.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to jailbreak your iPhone.
Note: If you have an A11 device, it’s necessary to disable your passcode while in the jailbroken state. On iOS 16, you need to reset your device before using palera1n-c on A11.
