What is EDL Mode?

EDL mode stands for Emergency Download Mode.   • Check the device manager for the Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 COM port.

(1) Adb Mode

  • First, install ADB & Fastboot driver on the PC
  • Go to Settings and Tap Build number 7-8 times to enable the developer option
  • Then Go to Developer Settings, turn on USB debugging on your phone
  • Now connect your device to a PC using a USB Cable.
  • Then open a command window in PC and paste the following commands and hit enter.
adb reboot edl
  • If any pop-up appears on the phone screen then allow the ADB USB Debugging access.

(2) Fastboot mode

  • Download ADB and Fastboot Tool and extract it in your PC (C:/Drive)
  • Connect your Device to your PC via a USB Cable
  • launch the command prompt from Minimal Fastboot files, and enter the below command

(3) By Holding Volume Keys

  • Turn off the device,
  • connect to a computer via USB
  • Press and hold the Volume Up + Volume Down keys to boot into EDL mode
  • Done.

(4) Fastboot To EDL Tool:

  • Download & extract EDL Tool
  • Run the tool
  • Power off your Android phone
  • Boot it into the Bootloader/Fastboot Mode
  • Now the tool will detect the phone
  • It will reboot to EDL Mode
  • Done.
